Service Provided by Moore Stephens’ Network

What does the client need to do?

It is important that he/she seeks both tax and legal advice, which takes into account both his/her country of residence and domicile. Moore Stephens requires copies of this advice as part of our client acceptance process. Taxation and legal advice, that has been provided by the client's own advisors, would be gladly accepted.

However, If the client does not have their own tax or legal advisors, or if the advisors are not experienced in offshore matters, the local Moore Stephens' office can offer this advice.

If the Moore Stephens' office in that country does not have a legal arm, they would involve a preferred local firm so that the three parties (the client/Moore Stephens/local legal firm) would work together.

Before the meeting, the IFA should ascertain salient information, which would be sent to relevant parties.

Dedicated Contact

The network will ensure that there will be a dedicated contact in key Moore Stephens' offices who would work with AEGON Scottish Equitable International clients in an efficient and effective manner.

Charging arrangements?

The initial one hour consultation with the tax/legal advisor in the client's country of residence and domicile is free of charge.

If the client decides to establish the offshore trust, they would formally appoint the relevant office to provide the appropriate advice; the charging basis would be agreed directly between the two parties.
